Martha earned her Bachelor of Arts in physics & cognitive science from University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Afterwards, she taught high school physics and mathematics in Norfolk, Virginia for two years. Since August 2004, Martha has worked as an Agent with New York Life, helping her clients reach their financial goals. To broaden her knowledge base, she earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFPR) designation in 2008.
Martha enjoys spending time with her husband Ryan and volunteering for the Alachua County Humane Society as a kitten foster parent. She currently serves on the Boards of Directors of the following organizations:

• Gainesville Area Women’s Network (GAWN.org)
• the Gainesville chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA.org)
• No More Homeless Pets (NMHP.net)
